The kitchen is home to the most power hungry beast in the house: the fridge. Usually, it's not doing very much (kind of like the VAXen) but we occasionally find things to stick inside and keep cool. When the moment takes us, we remove chilled items and cook them on the stove (which is also in the kitchen) or the grill in the back yard. Sunday cookouts are lots of fun, especially in the middle of Janurary (when there's 3 feet of snow everywhere!)
